i made another cake and thought i'd do another tutorial for you all
items needed
burnt umber paint, decorators caulking, small plastic ziplock bag, chocolate coloured fimo, burnt umber acryllic paint, circular cutter, rolling pin and lollisticks
stack 3 lollisticks either side of the tile and roll out the fimo (this ensures the fimo comes out the same thickness each time)
cut out 2 or 3 circles
press coarse sandpaper into the fimo to create a crumbly cake look
bake the fimo as per instructions, then put some caulking into a bag, add some of the paint and mix together
snip a tiny corner off of the bag and pipe onto the cake base then place another cake on top of that. pipe little peaks onto the top of the cake until its covered then add flakes of fimo to look like chocolate
you can make a variety of cakes in different ways using similar techniques, talc represents the icing sugar on a victoria sponge. the flower cakes is a 3 tier cake covered in caulking, then decorated with flowers made from cold porcelain or fimo. i hope this inspires you to give them a go
